Protecting your inventory for one death

Planned feature

Eligible casts charge automatic inventory protection for one death at a time.

Useful casting builds protection

Eligible successful player casts build a persistent personal meter. The full meter automatically arms one protection use. It stores at most one: casting while full does not bank extra lives. Blocked and canceled casts earn no charge. The exact threshold, per-spell weights and anti-toggle rule remain unspecified; there is no fixed recharge time to promise.

This is not mana. You do not spend it to cast, and rapid Lumos toggles are not intended to dominate charging. Condition wear, spell cooldowns, XP, character points and coins are separate resources.

One eligible death, one use

On an eligible death the armed charge is consumed once, retaining inventory, armor, offhand and carried XP. Those same possessions must not appear in a grave or as drops. Partial charge does not protect you; the default retains partial progress after an unprotected death.

The meter and armed state persist across logout/restart. Accepted nonlethal duels do not use it. A swapped wand or amulet cannot create another charge or reset shared cooldowns. The exact eligible actions and anti-farming rules still need to be finished before protection is ready to use.
