Rituals, relics and curse cleansing
Planned feature
Prepare a Ward Amulet or cleanse a tainted relic fragment.
Bind a physical ward
The ward-binding ritual uses an eligible copper amulet at an Infusion Stand, four runic components at adjacent documented positions, binding and control essences, and an acting caster who knows Protego and Aegivara. The components, their full recipes and their exact positions are still undecided, so this is not yet a complete ritual recipe.
The result is a short defensive ward on an eligible hit with a shared 45-second cooldown. Its curated indicator combination is an exception to the usual one-binding rule, not unrestricted effect stacking. If disrupted before commit, cancel without duplicating or consuming an uncommitted result.
Handle a tainted fragment carefully
Sealed tainted relic fragments can come from structures and corrupted-caster encounters. The encounter route is intended to be renewable and approachable with ordinary survival equipment plus entry magic, not locked behind Maledrix or finite first-looted chests. The journal should warn before handling.
The stated drawback is temporary mining fatigue while the tainted relic is equipped. It does not delete items, force PvP or permanently remove stats. Cleanse a fragment at the Potion Cauldron with Moonbell dust, milk and water using the Cleansing process. You do not need Maledrix knowledge first: personally cleansing tainted residue is the discovery that leads toward Maledrix.
Turn recovery into a component
At the Runic Workbench, one cleansed fragment, one amethyst shard and one binding essence make one rare stabilizer. A cleansed fragment can also be used as an optional ritual stabilizer where listed. Exact advanced ritual entries still need completion.
A possible extreme corrupt-relic wand-break interaction has not been specified and must not be treated as a routine live hazard. The powerful reward planned to replace elytra flight also remains undecided.
