Revelio
Planned feature
Find tagged magical traces, without ore x-ray or player tracking.
Discover it, then study
Collect an amethyst shard and already know Lumos. Study at the Spell Bench; the precise per-entry study material/tier remains unspecified. Reading a trace guide does not bypass personal learning.
What it helps you do
Reveal tagged magical traces within a bounded range. Upgrade directions specialize in ingredient traces or relic traces. This is also the learned prerequisite for the Watchlight binding, which warns of eligible nearby hostiles.
Cooldowns, limits and refusal
The base cooldown is 20 seconds. It cannot reveal all ores, full hidden terrain or players. Birch extends its targeting range by 2 blocks within hard global limits; the underlying maximum range is not yet stated. If nothing appears, the ruin or object may not have a tagged trace.
Study and upgrade materials
Revelio’s exact study tier and material remain unspecified. Collecting an amethyst shard and knowing Lumos are the discovery and predecessor; they do not establish an additional shard study fee. Upgrade material family: binding. See Discovering and learning magic in the related guides for XP-level costs and learning tiers. Exact upgrade recipes and specialization-change materials are still undecided for each spell. The upgrade ideas above are not complete recipes.
