Finding a crystal bloom
Planned feature
Temporary magical growth at safe, unclaimed sites.
A small change in a familiar landscape
The initial world-phenomenon selection is a local crystal bloom: temporary harvestable magical growth at a prevalidated unclaimed site in already explored/generated terrain. It is an opportunity to investigate, not a mandatory quest or a scheduled release promise. Exact resources, yields, duration and recurrence have not been selected.
Rendering a map must not generate a bloom site or reveal unvisited terrain. A bloom’s existence also does not bypass the atlas delay.
Protecting builds during a bloom
A bloom must not overwrite player buildings or protected land. Cleanup can remove only the bloom’s own unchanged placements, not restore an old scene over newer player edits. If safe placement cannot be achieved, the representation needs a separately reviewed non-destructive alternative. Blooms must not cause random explosions or reset the surrounding world.
Blooms are planned, not live events, and there is no recurring schedule yet. Harvesting details depend on resources that have not been chosen.
