Accio
Planned feature
Pull an eligible dropped-item stack towards you. Chest contents stay put.
Discover it, then study
Collect an iron ingot to discover Accio, then study with one iron ingot at the Spell Bench. No earlier learned spell is required. Buying a Retrieval tool does not teach Accio.
What it helps you do
Pull one eligible dropped-item stack after ownership and claim checks. It does not pull arbitrary inventory or chest contents. Upgrade directions are a precision filter or bounded multi-stack gathering. Accio also supplies the knowledge for Retrieval and, with Mutavelle, Extension bindings.
Cooldowns, limits and refusal
The base cooldown is 5 seconds. A denied or ineligible stack should not move; check ownership and permissions rather than treating a protected item as broken targeting. Birch adds 2 blocks of targeting reach within global limits. Retrieval routes native drops, not bonus drops.
Study and upgrade materials
Learn Accio at the Spell Bench with one iron ingot. Collecting iron is the discovery, while the ingot is the explicit learning input; no learned predecessor is required. Upgrade material family: binding. See Discovering and learning magic in the related guides for XP-level costs and learning tiers. Exact upgrade recipes and specialization-change materials are still undecided for each spell. The upgrade ideas above are not complete recipes.
